Three people cut off and threw away the sacred thread of a man going for bhajan.

Tirunelveli: A case of cutting and throwing away a man’s sacred thread has come to light in Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu. It is being told that the man was going to attend a religious event wearing only a dhoti without a shirt. Meanwhile, he met three people on a bike on the way. The three stopped the man and made fun of him for wearing sacred thread. Not only this, the three together cut his sacred thread and threw it away. After this, they threatened the man not to wear sacred thread again and fled. Hindu organizations have protested against this and filed a case.

Cutting the sacred thread by blocking the way

Actually, the whole incident is from Tirunelveli district. Here three people riding a motorcycle cut off the sacred thread of a 24-year-old man and threw it away. They made fun of him for wearing the sacred thread, after which a case was registered. Police gave this information on Monday. Police said that this incident took place in Palayamkottai on the evening of 21 September. During this time Akhilesh was going to the local Astik Samaj run by Brahmins to participate in a bhajan. They told that at that time Akhilesh was going to the program wearing only a dhoti and without a shirt.

Threatened not to wear it again

Meanwhile, three people on a motorcycle stopped him. The three cut Akhilesh’s sacred thread (called Poonool in Tamil) and threw it away. They mocked him for wearing the sacred thread and said that he should never wear Poonool again. On the other hand, after getting information about the case, the officials of Hindu Munnani (RSS-affiliated organization) protested against it. They lodged a complaint with the Perumalpuram Police (Palayamkottai) on the night of 21 September along with the officials of the Aastik Samaj. He said that the case has been registered.
