A major accident was averted on Tuesday night at Chennai airport in Tamil Nadu. Actually, just before the takeoff of the plane going to Dubai from Chennai airport, smoke suddenly started coming out from the wing part. According to the information, a total of 320 passengers were going to board this flight but after this incident, there was panic among them.
How did the accident happen?
Emirates flight from Chennai International Airport was scheduled to take off for Dubai at 9.50 pm on Tuesday. According to the information, 320 passengers were waiting to board this flight. Before the passengers boarded, the plane was refueled. Then suddenly smoke started coming out of the engine due to overfilling. Seeing this, the staff panicked.
What was the reason for the smoke?
After receiving the news of the accident, the firefighters reached the airport fire station and tried to extinguish the smoke. Investigation has revealed that the smoke from the plane was caused by heat due to excess fuel. After this, the firefighters immediately reached there and extinguished the fire, thus averting a major accident. Due to the incident, all the passengers going on the flight were kept in the waiting room.
When will the plane take off?
There has been a lot of commotion at Chennai airport due to the incident of smoke coming out during refueling of the plane. The fire brigade has completely cleared the smoke. However, was there any damage to the plane? Is the plane ready to fly? Officials are currently investigating this. Officials have said that the flight to Dubai will be delayed as it will have to take off after inspection.
