Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan on Monday targeted the Hemant Soren government of Jharkhand and said that women are not safe in the state. He accused the government of large-scale corruption. Chauhan, in-charge of BJP in Jharkhand, took a dig at the Congress and the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, describing them as Kumbhakarna, the younger brother of Ravana from the Hindu epic Ramayana. He clearly said today that the people of Jharkhand cannot be happy with the government of JMM and Congress.

The BJP leader claimed that there is complete darkness in Jharkhand today. Due to misgovernance, corruption, development has come to a standstill and there is darkness over law and order. There have been more than 7400 incidents of rape, more than 8000 murders, kidnappings, robberies – all these are spreading darkness. He said that the women of Jharkhand are in darkness, today food and soil is in crisis in Jharkhand. If you want to save Jharkhand, then I appeal to the people of the state to bring BJP-NDA government in the elections to be held after Diwali.

BJP co-in-charge Himanta Biswa Sarma said that there is an atmosphere of enthusiasm in Jharkhand and BJP is going to win with full majority. Hemant Soren, Kalpana Soren only talk about their family, we talk about entire Jharkhand. A total of 634 candidates filed nominations for the second phase of Jharkhand Assembly elections. An election officer gave this information. On Tuesday, the last day of filing nominations, 297 candidates submitted their documents to contest elections on 38 seats. Voting on these seats will be held in the second phase on November 20. Scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on Wednesday, while candidates can withdraw their nominations till November 1.
