Actually, a case related to a hair dryer has been seen in Bagalkote district of Karnataka. Something happened here that threatened the woman’s life. In this shocking incident, the victim lost her palms and fingers. Let us tell you that a hair dryer was couriered to the victim’s neighbor. During this time, when the woman tried to switch on the hair dryer, it suddenly exploded. In this incident the woman’s palms and fingers were blown off.
Hair dryer explodes; woman’s fingers blown off
Let us inform that after this incident, the woman has been admitted to the local hospital for treatment. The incident took place on November 15, information about which came to light on Wednesday. Police sources said the injured woman has been identified as Basavarajeshwari Yarnal, 37, wife of former army personnel Papanna Yarnal, who died in Jammu and Kashmir in 2017. According to investigating officials, the explosion was caused by an electrical short circuit. To use appliances like hair dryer, a 2 watt electrical connection is required. The switch in which the hair dryer was inserted did not have that much capacity, due to which the accident occurred.
Police told the whole story
According to information received from the police, a courier parcel was booked in the name of Basavarajeshwari’s neighbor Sasikala. When the courier delivery person called Sasikala to collect the parcel, she told him that she was out of town and instead asked her to deliver the parcel to her neighbor Basavarajeshwari. After this Sasikala called Basavarajeshwari and requested her to collect the parcel. Later, Basavarajeshwar went to the courier office and collected the parcel. When Sasikala asked her to open the parcel, Basavarajeshwari opened it and found a hair dryer in it. As soon as Basavarajeshwari plugged the hair dryer into the power socket and switched it on, it exploded right in her hands.
Neighbor denied the courier
Hearing the sound of the explosion, some neighbors ran and found Basavarajeshwari’s palms and fingers cut. He was immediately taken to a nearby private hospital. Although Sasikala claimed that she had not ordered any product online, Bagalkot Superintendent of Police Amarnath Reddy said that perhaps she said so out of fear after the incident. The SP said that a case has been registered at Ilkal police station and investigation is being conducted to find out who had ordered the device and from where it was sent. A Visakhapatnam based firm manufacturing hair dryers has been identified. Further investigation is underway
