Mumbai: Maharashtra government today issued an order declaring cow as the mother of the state. It is written in the order that the government has decided that cow has importance in Indian culture since the Vedic period. Desi cow’s milk is suitable for human consumption. Considering the importance of Ayurveda medical system, Panchgavya treatment system, cow urine and organic farming method, cow is being declared as the mother of the state from now on.
What is the importance of cow?
In India, cow is given the status of mother and there is a tradition of worshiping her in Hindu religion. Apart from this, its milk, urine and dung are considered sacred and are also used in abundance. Cow’s milk is very beneficial for the human body, while cow urine is claimed to cure many diseases.
Ayurveda says that feeding cow’s milk to children improves their development and children have a calm nature. In Hindu religion, it is believed that all the gods and goddesses reside in the cow. In ancient history, Lord Shri Krishna also served cows. For a long time, a movement has been going on to declare cow as the mother of the nation.
The issue of giving the status of mother of the state to the cow has come to the fore at a time when cases of cow slaughter and cow slaughter are coming to the fore every day. State governments are alert about this matter, but have not been able to control such cases. Two cases of cow slaughter were reported in UP today itself. Cow killer Mahtab Alam has been shot by the police in Unnao. Following the instructions of CM Yogi, strictness is being imposed in the entire state. Major action was taken after receiving complaint of cow slaughter in Mirzapur. 10 policemen including the outpost in-charge have been suspended and investigation is also being conducted against the SHO.
