According to the Commission, a total seizure of Rs 858 crore has been received from Maharashtra and Jharkhand. The commission said that Rs 103.61 crore was seized in Maharashtra and Rs 18.76 crore in Jharkhand in the 2019 assembly elections. According to the commission, the seizures included cash, liquor, narcotics, free gifts and other items. The commission reported that seizures were recorded in all districts of Maharashtra, which is much higher than in previous assembly elections.
