Three people, including two women riding a motorcycle, died after being hit by a truck in Sarurpur area of Meerut district in Uttar Pradesh on Sunday evening. Angered by the incident, people protested by blocking the road.
Superintendent of Police (Rural) Rakesh Kumar Mishra said that Upasana (18), Manisha (22) and Sunil Kashyap (45), members of the same family living in Ratangarhi of Sardhana area, were going to a wedding ceremony and on the way they met Karnawal Gate. His motorcycle collided with a parked trolley.
Meanwhile, a truck coming from behind crushed the three people riding the motorcycle. He told that in this incident Upasana, Manish and Sunil died on the spot.
Angered by the incident, the family members of the deceased and the people of the village created a ruckus on the spot and blocked the road. The police have reached the spot and are trying to pacify the villagers.
