Three people arrested for throwing a bag full of iron rods on railway tracks

Police in Maharashtra’s Thane district on Wednesday arrested three people for throwing bags filled with iron rods on the railway tracks between Bhayandar and Mira Road railway stations and endangering human life. An official gave this information on Thursday.

A release issued by the Government Railway Police (GRP) said the incident took place on November 5, when some people threw a bag containing seven iron rods on the railway tracks.

The police then registered an FIR against unknown persons under the provisions of the Indian Justice Code (BNS) and relevant sections of the Indian Railways Act.

He said that the police investigation team caught the accused who have been identified as Vikas Rajbhar, Jaisingh Rathore and Vikram Gupta. GRP said that the accused had stolen rods from construction sites and thrown them on the tracks.
