Three people died in fire in multi-storey building in Mumbai

A civic official said three people injured in the fire incident were taken to Cooper Hospital where doctors declared them brought dead.

Three people died in a fire that broke out in a 14-storey residential building in Mumbai’s ‘Lokhandwala Complex’ on Wednesday morning. The officers provided this information. A civic official said that the fire broke out at around 8 am in a flat on the 10th floor of ‘Rhea Palace Building’ located on ‘Forth Cross Road’ of ‘Lokhandwala Complex’ in Andheri area.

A civic official said that three people injured in the fire incident were taken to Cooper Hospital where doctors declared them brought dead.

According to civic officials, the deceased have been identified as Chandraprakash Soni (74), Kanta Soni (74) and Pelubetta (42). A fire department official said that the fire was extinguished by around 9 am. The official said that the cause of the fire is not yet known.
