Chitrakoot District Development Officer R.K. Tripathi said that the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of the 296.07 km long Bundelkhand Express-Way, which is going to be built at a cost of Rs 14,716.26 crore from Gonda village in the district. Governor Anandi Ben Patel and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also be present on this occasion. Tripathi said that according to the released protocol, the Prime Minister will reach Gonda village of Chitrakoot from Prayagraj by one o’clock in the afternoon and after half-an-hour worship at the construction site of the Bundelkhand Expressway, he will address the public meeting.
The Bundelkhand Expressway will start from Bharatkup area of Chitrakoot district and will connect the Agra-Lucknow Expressway near Kudrail village in Etawah via Banda, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Jalaun, Auraiya. The length of this four to six lane expressway is 296.07 km and its estimated cost is Rs 14,716.26 crore.
Prime Minister Modi will also lay the foundation stone for five pipeline projects of drinking water at a cost of Rs 1515.51 crore in 470 revenue villages of 239 gram panchayats in the rugged area of Chitrakoot district.
