Warning of heavy rain with strong winds in Kerala-Goa

New Delhi: The weather patterns have changed in many states of the country including Delhi-NCR. Mild cold was felt in many areas of Delhi-Noida on Friday morning. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy rain in many areas of Mumbai, Goa and Kerala today. At the same time, departure of monsoon is possible from some areas of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra.

Warning of heavy rain in these states today

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall at isolated places in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Goa, Konkan and Karaikal on October 11. Orange alert of heavy rain has been issued in Goa. The Meteorological Department has warned of heavy to very heavy rain in isolated areas of both North and South Goa. Winds can blow at a speed of 35-45 km/hour.

Chances of heavy rain in these districts of Kerala

At the same time, yellow alert of heavy rain has been issued for many districts of Kerala. A warning of heavy rain accompanied by storm has been issued in Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam and Pathanamthitta as well as in the northern districts of Malappuram, Kozhikode, Wayanad, Kannur and Kasaragod. The weather department expects rainfall between 64.5 mm to 115.5 mm within the next 24 hours. Authorities have instructed people living in low-lying areas near river banks and dams to be aware of possible dangers and move to safe areas.

Chance of rain in Mumbai even today

At the same time, there was heavy rain in Mumbai during the last 24 hours. The weather department has predicted rain even today. Apart from this, light to moderate rain may also occur in Pune, Ratnagiri, Sindhudurg, Dhule, Nashik, Kolhapur and other surrounding areas of Maharashtra.

Delhi weather

The minimum temperature recorded in Delhi on Thursday was 23.1 degrees Celsius, which is two degrees more than the average temperature of this season and the Meteorological Department has predicted clear sky during the day. Today the maximum temperature during the day is likely to be around 35 degrees Celsius. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the air quality index (AQI) at 9 am in the national capital was recorded at 132, which falls in the moderate category.
