New Delhi: There may be heavy rain in many parts of the country today. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of torrential rain in Jharkhand, Karnataka, Odisha and West Bengal. According to the department, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall with light to moderate rainfall at most places in southern Jharkhand on October 24. Whereas on October 25, there may be heavy rainfall at different places. At the same time, warning of torrential rain has been issued in Dhenkanal, Khorda, Puri, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak, Kendrapara, Jagatsingpur, Kendujhar, Jajpur, Cuttack of Odisha.

There is a possibility of heavy rain in South and North 24 Parganas districts of West Bengal, East and West Medinipur. An alert of torrential rain has been issued in Jhargram, Howrah, Hooghly, Kolkata and Bankura districts of Gangetic West Bengal. Heavy rain is expected in Bengal today and tomorrow also.
How will the weather be in Delhi-NCR?
Light winds are blowing in Delhi-NCR on Thursday morning. Because of this a slight cold is being felt. The Meteorological Department has predicted clear sky today and the maximum temperature will be around 33 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be around 19 degrees Celsius.
Mahesh Palawat of private weather forecaster Skymet Weather Services said temperatures will remain stable for at least a week unless there is a strong western disturbance or snowfall in areas like Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. He said that there is a possibility of western disturbance around October 25 or 26 which may cause rain or snowfall in the upper areas. After this, cold may increase in Delhi-NCR and Haryana-Punjab.
Orange alert issued for Bengaluru
IMD has issued a yellow rain alert for Bengaluru on October 24. During this period, heavy rains and storms will continue in some parts of the city. Heavy rain is likely at isolated places in Uttara Kannada, Udupi, Dharwad, Belagavi, Haveri, Mandya, Mysuru, Hassan, Kodagu, Ramanagara, Tumkur and Chitradurga districts. Meanwhile, moderate rain and thundershowers are likely at most places over the remaining districts of South Interior Karnataka and light to moderate rain and thundershowers at a few places over the remaining districts of North Interior Karnataka.
