Two men arrested for raping an Assam girl in Agra

Two people who allegedly raped a 20-year-old girl from Assam in Agra have been arrested. Police gave this information on Wednesday. According to police, the woman was waiting for a train at New Delhi railway station to go to her brother’s house in Kerala, where she met a 25-year-old man from Pune.

Police said the man brought the girl to Agra by train with a false marriage proposal and kept her at his friend’s house in Kirauli, after which the two friends allegedly raped the girl.

An officer said that the girl somehow ran away from home and reached Kirauli police station and lodged a complaint against the accused. Kirauli police station in-charge Kewal Singh said, “On November 5, the girl from Assam reached the police station and claimed that she was waiting for a train at New Delhi railway station to go to her brother in Kerala.

Meanwhile, Manoj, a resident of Pune, came in contact with the girl and misled her by giving her a false marriage proposal and brought her to Agra by train.” He took the girl to his friend Kanha’s house in Kirauli, Agra and raped her, after which Kanha raped her.

In this regard, a complaint has been lodged at Kirauli police station in Agra district and medical examination of the girl has been done. Police station in-charge Keval Singh said that both Manoj and Kanha have been arrested.
