It is being told that the administration got information about an ancient well just 200 meters away from the Shahi Jama Masjid of Sambhal. The name of this well is also being said as Mrityu Koop. At present, the administration has started the work of digging and cleaning this well.
The Sambhal district administration is in the process of renovating wells in the city. Till now the administration has dug and found many wells. At present, Shahi Jama Masjid, which Hindu people call Harihar Temple. Excavation of an ancient well is going on at some distance from there. Some people are digging wells in the presence of the administration. According to the ward member of Sambhal Municipal Corporation, this well is one of the 19 wells of Sambhal. This well has been closed for the last several years. The debris from the houses built nearby was dumped here. Now the Municipal Corporation is getting this well excavated, so that this ancient cup can be revived once again.
People are happy with the discovery of death well in Sambhal
Talking to Republic India, local people said that there used to be an ancient Mrityunjaya Mahadev temple next to the Mrityu well. Local people claim that elders used to say that this ancient Mrityunjaya Mahadev temple was one of the pilgrimage sites of Sambhal, but today only some of its walls are visible. At present people are happy about the excavation of the ancient well.
Not only this, when the excavation of the death well started, Hindu families have started coming here to worship. People told that he used to do this puja in his childhood, but then the well was closed. Now the well is opening again so we have come here to worship. People say that previous governments had tried to suppress the history of their pilgrimage and Sambhal. Today Sambhal and its pilgrimage sites are in front of the entire country. Which is a matter of pride.
