15 cattle in two pickups, three illegal pistols and four mobile phones have been recovered from them. The animal smugglers injured during the encounter have been sent to the hospital for treatment under police custody.
Police encounter with cow smugglers
The matter is of Padrauna Kotwali area. Late night on Wednesday (December 25), the police and SOG team, which arrived on the information of cow slaughter, had an encounter with the cow slaughterers. Two cow smugglers were shot in the legs in the encounter. The police also arrested three smugglers from the spot.
During this period, 15 cows, pickup vehicle used in crime, illegal pistol, mobile phone, strong rope used to tie cows cruelly have been recovered from them. The arrested cow smugglers are residents of Nebua Naurangia and Hanumanganj police station areas.
According to the police statement, information was received that some vicious cattle smugglers were secretly carrying cattle to Bihar through the border areas in a pickup vehicle. Making immediate plans on this, police teams were formed. Checking was being done by cordoning off. During checking, two pickup vehicles were seen coming. When the team tried to stop them, some people traveling in it started firing at the police team.
After this, firing was also done by the police team, in which two persons were injured. The injured have been identified as Abarez and Alauddin. Also, another of his associates was trying to escape from Abrar, who was arrested by the police team during combing.
