Police said the incident occurred at 8.30 a.m. when a wheel of a truck carrying Kanwariyas from Agra to Haridwar to collect Ganga water burst while passing through Satheri village.
At least 14 devotees were injured when a truck overturned due to a tyre burst near Satheri village under Ratanpuri police station area of Muzaffarnagar district in Uttar Pradesh on Saturday morning. Police said the incident occurred at 8.30 am when a tyre of a truck carrying devotees from Agra to Haridwar to collect Gangajal burst while passing near Satheri village.
Area Officer (Crime) Ramashish Yadav said that the truck overturned due to a tyre burst and 14 Kanwariyas travelling in it were injured. The injured Kanwariyas were taken to a nearby hospital. According to Yadav, the accident affected traffic on the Meerut-Muzaffarnagar road for some time, but it was soon restored to normal.
