Recently a case of cruelty to a peacock came to light
Peacock is the national bird of the country. Killing a peacock is a crime and smuggling it is an even bigger crime. Still, peacock feathers are sold in large numbers in the market these days. People go to any extent for their own benefit and in such a situation, they do not care even if someone dies.
Recently a video went viral on social media, in which people were forced to think about how greedy humans are becoming. The video was shared on social site X by a user named @anitavladivoski and said that a peacock became the victim of an accident. After which he was lying injured on the road. When people saw this bird, instead of helping it, they started plucking its feathers from its body. It can also be seen in the video that the injured peacock is lying on the road and there is a crowd of people around it. Still no one is ready to help that peacock. Everyone’s eyes are fixed on plucking the peacock’s feathers from its body. Keeping humanity in mind, people start doing very cruel things with peacocks. People leave the peacock suffering in the same condition and start pulling out its feathers and running away. (Shubham Kumar reports from Odisha)
