State Congress president Jitu Patwari warned that if the government does not buy soybean from farmers at the rate of Rs 6,000 per quintal in the state, then first the mandis will be closed and after that the farmers will enter the assembly premises in the next session and get their demands fulfilled.

Earlier, a large number of police forces deployed at the Regional Park crossing of the city put up barricades and stopped the Congress tractor rally for more than an hour, causing severe traffic jam at this crossing. During this time, Digvijay Singh and Jeetu Patwari remained seated on the tractor amid slogans of “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan”.
