The bench asked Additional Solicitor General (ASG) S.V. Raju, appearing for the CBI, “Raju ji, what kind of grounds are given in this. How can you accuse the entire judiciary? You are making it look as if there is an adverse atmosphere in the entire West Bengal.” The bench said, “It may be that your officers do not like a judicial officer or a particular state, but do not say that the entire judiciary is not working. Judges, district judges and civil judges and sessions judges cannot come here and defend themselves.”
