The BCCI has announced central contracts for October 2019 to September 2020. Dhoni was in A grade till last year, who used to get Rs 5 crore annually. Captain Virat Kohli, vice-captain Rohit Sharma and fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah remain in A Plus grade who get Rs 7 crore annually.
A + and A grade
BCCI has released the contract list for October 2019 to September 2020. Captain Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Jaspreet Bumrah have been placed in Grade A +. Ravindra Jadeja, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammed Shami, Cheteshwar Pujara, KL Rahul, Ajinkya Rahane, Shikhar Dhawan, Pacer Ishant Sharma, Kuldeep Yadav and wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant have been placed in Grade A.
B and C grade
The board has placed Riddhiman Saha, Umesh Yadav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Hardik Pandya, Mayank Agarwal in grade B. Kedar Jadhav, Navdeep Saini, Deepak Chahar, Manish Pandey, Hanuma Vihari, Shardul Thakur, Shreyas Iyer, Washington Sundar have been placed in Grade C.

Dhoni has played 90 Tests, 350 ODIs and 98 T20 International matches so far in his career. He has retired from Test cricket and has scored a total of 4876 runs in this format. At the same time, he has 10773 names in ODIs and 1617 runs in T20 International. Dhoni made his international debut against Bangladesh on 23 December 2004.
