Before this, such a young player had not been bought in the history of IPL. This player is none other than Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Vaibhav Suryavanshi plays domestic cricket for Bihar team. Recently, he performed brilliantly in Under-19 cricket and scored a brilliant century against Australia. Due to which he came into limelight and found a buyer in the auction.

This team opened the safe

Rajasthan Royals has made the biggest bid for Vaibhav Suryavanshi. Rajasthan Royals team has made a bid of Rs 1.10 crore for him. He was available in this auction at a base price of Rs 30 lakh. There was a tough competition for him in the auction between Delhi Capitals and Rajasthan Royals. Finally Rajasthan included him in their squad. His age is 13 years and 244 days. He will be 14 years old by the time he plays IPL. At such a young age, he will get a chance to play with the big players of the world. He played an inning of 104 runs in 62 balls against Australia’s Under-19 team in Chennai.

It has been a wonderful career

Suryavanshi made headlines after scoring a century for India Under-19 in an unofficial Test against Australia Under-19 in Chennai. 13-year-old Suryavanshi scored a century in just 58 balls, which was the fastest century for the India Under-19 team in red-ball cricket. He was also the youngest batsman to score an international century at the age of 13.

Vaibhav has played five first class matches and one T20 match for Bihar. He has 100 runs in 5 FC matches, with 41 being the highest score. He has scored only 13 runs in the only T20 in the ongoing Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy against Rajasthan. The left-handed batsman made his first-class debut in a Ranji Trophy Elite match against Mumbai in January 2024. He was born on 27 March 2011 in Tajpur village of Bihar.
