Afghanistan cricket team has been in excellent form for the last one year. For the Afghanistan team, the year 2024 can be considered the best year so far in their international cricket journey. All three matches of the T20I series were played at the Harare Sports Club. Batting first in the third T20I, the host Zimbabwe team could not even complete 20 overs and collapsed for 127 runs in 19.5 overs. Captain Rashid Khan took 4 wickets for Afghanistan. Naveen Ul Haq, Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Azmatullah took 2 wickets each. In response to Zimbabwe’s score, Afghanistan achieved the target of 128 runs in 19.3 overs by losing 7 wickets. Azmatullah Umarzai made the maximum contribution of 34 runs. Due to his excellent performance with ball and bat, Azmatullah Umarzai was named Player of the Match while Naveen Ul Haq became Player of the Series.
