While all the franchises are making strategies regarding their retained players for the 18th season of the Indian Premier League i.e. IPL to be played in the year 2025, some have also announced changes in their coaching staff. Meanwhile, Dale Steyn, who played the role of fast bowling coach for Sunrisers Hyderabad team in IPL 2024, has surprised everyone by taking a big decision and announcing his departure from the team. Dale Steyn gave this information through a post he made on social media platform X, in which he clearly wrote that he is not going to come for IPL 2025.
I would like to thank Sunrisers Hyderabad team
Dale Steyn was appointed the fast bowling coach of his team by Sunrisers Hyderabad in December 2021, after which he has held this responsibility continuously for three seasons. In the last IPL season, Dale Steyn worked with the new captain of Hyderabad team, Pat Cummins, in which the team was successful in reaching the final. Dale Steyn, while posting on I will not come back for IPL 2025. However, I will continue to work with Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the SA20 in South Africa. Sunrisers Eastern Cape, who have won the SA20 twice, will try to win the trophy for the third consecutive time.
Sunrisers Hyderabad had made changes in its coaching staff before the 2024 season.
Sunrisers Hyderabad team had made several major changes in its coaching staff just before the IPL season played in the year 2024, in which Daniel Vettori was made the new head coach, however, despite this, they retained Dale Steyn as the bowling coach. Now everyone’s eyes will be on who the Sunrisers Hyderabad team appoints to this position.
