The Indian cricket team will tour Australia at the end of the year, for which the fans are eagerly waiting. On Australia tour, Team India will play a 5-match series under the Border-Gavaskar Series. The cricket world is very excited about this series and continuous statements are being made from both the countries. Meanwhile, big news is coming out from Team India regarding this important tour. The Border-Gavaskar series between India and Australia will start from November 22 in Perth. Considering the preparation for this series, Team India will leave for Australia at least two weeks in advance. Not only this, Team India will also play one or two ‘intra squad’ practice matches against the players of its ‘A’ team.

The Indian team is currently busy playing the T20I series against Bangladesh. After this series, Team India will host New Zealand in a 3-match Test series. The Test series between India and New Zealand will start from October 16 and the last match of the series will be played in Mumbai from November 1 to November 5. Team India will leave for Australia from Mumbai just a few days after this series.

After setting foot on Australian soil, the Indian team can play a four-day match with India A. This will give Team India a good opportunity to test itself in the conditions before the long tour of Australia. India A team is likely to leave for Australia tour on October 25. Before the day-night Test to be held in Adelaide from 6 to 10 December, the Indian team will play a two-day day-night practice match with the pink ball against the Prime Minister’s XI at the Manuka Oval in Canberra on 30 November and 1 December.

India’s Australia Test tour is as follows:-

  • First Test: 22-26 November, Perth
  • Second Test: 06-10 December, Adelaide
  • Third Test: 14-18 December, Brisbane
  • Fourth Test: 26-30 December, Melbourne
  • Fifth Test: 3-7 January, Sydney

After a long time, 5 matches are to be played in the Border-Gavaskar Series 2024-25. Last time 5 test matches were played under this series in 1991-92. In such a situation, a fierce competition is expected between the two teams. This series will also be very important for both the teams from the point of view of World Test Championship 2023-25.
