According to the report of Indian Express, BCCI is waiting for NOD from National Cricket Academy (NCA). Once Mohammed Shami gets NOD from NCA. After this, Mohammed Shami can go to Australia for the remaining three matches of the Test series against Australia. The BCCI senior selection committee is awaiting the results of the new fitness test from the NCA for his inclusion in the Test squad. It is believed that BCCI has made all the preparations. Mohammed Shami’s visa is also ready. Once he is declared fit, he will leave for Australia as soon as possible.
Team India had won the first match of the series by 295 runs, but in the second match being played in Adelaide, Team India was missing an experienced bowler like Shami. A BCCI official has informed that the selection committee is only waiting for the fitness clearance report of NCA. Shami recently went to Bengaluru to prove his fitness. He also participated in Ranji Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament. Where his performance was quite amazing. He also said that Shami’s kit is also ready. He is just waiting for the approval from NCA.
Shami has been out of Team India for a long time
Team India’s star fast bowler Mohammed Shami has been out of Team India’s squad for a long time. He last played for Team India in the final of the ODI World Cup 2023. After this he got his surgery done. After which he was on rest. Recently he has made his comeback with domestic cricket. Shami played his last Test match for India in June 2023 against Australia.
