Cricket Australia has handed over the responsibility of opening the playing eleven to Yashasvi Jaiswal and England’s Ben Duckett. He has scored a total of 1478 runs this year, which includes three centuries. He had scored two consecutive double centuries against England in the home series. Joe Root scored the most test runs in the year 2024
Cricket Australia has also included England’s Joe Root and Harry Brook, New Zealand’s Rachin Ravindra and Sri Lanka’s Kamindu Mendis in the playing eleven. Root was the batsman who scored the most Test runs in the year 2024. Whether he is playing at home or abroad. He showed his batting prowess everywhere. He scored a total of 1556 test runs in the year 2024. Rachin Ravindra played an important role in New Zealand winning the Test in India. This year he scored 984 test runs. Jasprit Bumrah got captaincy
Cricket Australia has handed over the responsibility of captaincy to Indian player Jasprit Bumrah. He has performed amazingly against Australia in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. He was the captain of Team India in the Test match held in Perth and under his captaincy the Indian team won the match by 295 runs. He has taken a total of 30 Test wickets so far in the current series. In the year 2024, he has taken a total of 71 wickets.
New Zealand’s Matt Henry, Australia’s Josh Hazlewood and South Africa’s Keshav Maharaj have also got a chance. Hazlewood has bowled brilliantly for Australia when needed and is currently out of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy due to injury.
