Rohit Sharma: The first day’s play in the second Test being played between India and Bangladesh has ended. However, the apprehensions regarding the first day proved correct. The match started quite late due to rain and it rained again after the first session. Soon after this the first day’s play was declared over. Meanwhile, questions have also arisen regarding captain Rohit Sharma. They won the toss and decided to bowl first, which could become a cause of tension.
Rain in Kanpur, possibility of rain on second day also
It rained in Kanpur a day before the match i.e. on Thursday night, hence the match could not start on time on Friday morning. After waiting for about an hour, when the toss took place, captain Rohit Sharma won the toss. It was expected that India would bat first, but on the contrary, Rohit Sharma surprised everyone. He decided to bowl first without any hesitation. After this he stunned everyone by saying one more thing. He told that he will take the field with the same playing eleven with which he had played in the Chennai Test. That means no changes will be made.
Rohit came with three pacers
The biggest thing is that the team has entered the Kanpur field against Bangladesh with fast bowlers. On the first day, it was expected that Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj would take some wickets soon, but they failed. It must be good for Akash Deep who gave some relief to the Indian camp by taking two wickets in quick succession. After this Ravichandran Ashwin also took a wicket. Overall, till now it seems that whatever Rohit Sharma thought and decided to bowl first, has been proved wrong. If this same team had taken at least five wickets of Bangladesh, then perhaps it can be said that their decision was right. But the Indian bowlers proved unsuccessful in that.
Big challenge before the Indian team on the second day
Meanwhile, there is a possibility of rain on the second day as well, but it does not seem that it will rain for a long time. In such a situation, the biggest challenge before the Indian bowlers and captain Rohit Sharma will be how they get the entire Bangladesh team out. It should also be kept in mind here that India will now have to bat in the last innings i.e. the fourth innings. Batting in the fourth innings will not be easy on any ground. This is the ground of Kanpur, which is considered helpful for spinners. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see how Rohit Sharma proves his decision right on the second day.
