Australian team embarrassed in its own home
The Indian cricket team has already reached Australia and attacked the opposing team in its first Test at its home. It was expected that if the Australian team plays at home, there will be pressure on Team India, but it seems to be the opposite. The Indian team could not do much in batting, but when it came to bowling, India stepped up and showed its game. Jasprit Bumrah decided to bat first
Indian team captain Jasprit Bumrah won the toss today and decided to bat first. When the Indian team was out on a small score, it seemed that Bumrah’s decision had gone wrong. But when the Indian bowled on fire, it seemed that Bumrah was right. While the Indian team could score only 150 runs, Australia lost its 5 wickets even before scoring 40 runs. Even after this, Australia’s wickets continued to fall.
Australia lost 5 wickets before 40 runs
If we talk about statistics, this is the second time since 1980 that this has happened with the Australian team, when the team is playing a Test match at its home and its first 5 wickets have gone before 40 runs are scored. Earlier in the year 2018, South Africa had done the same. The Australian team had completely surrendered in front of South Africa in that match. Then in the match played in Hobart, Australia lost its 5 wickets for only 17 runs. In front of India, Australia has lost its 5 wickets for 38 runs. Meanwhile, by the time the team’s score could reach 50 runs, their sixth wicket was also gone.
Bumrah attacked from the very first over
When Team India’s bowling started, Jasprit Bumrah took the lead. Bumrah played a big role in destroying Australia’s top order. He took three wickets back to back. That also included sending Steve Smith to the pavilion on a golden duck. Mohammad Siraj was not able to bowl well from the other end, so the captain handed over the bowling to Harshit Rana. He brought great success to the Indian team by dismissing Travis Head. After this, when Siraj came again in the second spell, he took two wickets in his bag by catching the correct tip and pushed the Australian team on the back foot.
