India vs New Zealand 2nd Test: Contrary to everyone’s expectations, the Indian team had to face defeat by 8 wickets against New Zealand in the first test match. The Indian team was full of confidence after winning the Test series against Bangladesh 2-0. Now the defeat in the first match must have been an eye-opener for him. In the first innings, the great batsmen of the Indian team collapsed in front of the New Zealand bowlers and the entire Indian team was reduced to just 46 runs. For this reason, Team India lost the Test match against New Zealand at home after 36 years. Team India tried to make some comeback in the second innings, but by then it was too late. Now the second match between the two teams will be played on Pune ground from October 24. But before this test match, the New Zealand team has suffered a big blow and its star batsman Kane Williamson will not play in this match.
Kane Williamson is not completely fit
Kane Williamson had to face a groin problem during the Sri Lanka tour, from which he has not yet fully recovered. Due to injury he will not play in the second test match. His rehabilitation will continue due to a back strain. He is constantly trying to achieve fitness. Due to this injury, he did not even play in the first test.
Williamson’s absence in the second test is no less than a big blow for him, because he is known for his excellent batting and has won the team many matches on his own. He has scored 8881 runs in 102 Test matches for New Zealand, which includes 32 centuries.
Williamson is not 100 percent fit yet
New Zealand head coach Gary Stead said Kane is monitoring Williamson and he is looking in the right direction, but he is not 100% fit yet. We hope to see further improvement in the coming days and he will be available for the third Test. We will give them as much time as possible to prepare themselves.
New Zealand has won only three test matches on Indian soil
New Zealand had created history by winning the first test match against India. Then the Kiwi team has won the Test match on Indian soil since 1988. New Zealand has so far played a total of 37 Tests on Indian soil, out of which it won only 3 and the team had to face defeat in 17.
