Uganda has won the most T20I matches in a calendar year.
The Ugandan team holds the record for winning the most matches in a calendar year in T20I cricket. Uganda had won a total of 29 matches in T20I in the year 2023. Team India had won 28 matches in the year 2022. This year also the Indian team is performing well and is making new records one after the other. Team India won the T20 World Cup 2024 title in June under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma and during that time the Indian team did not lose a single match.
Pakistani team lagged behind
In the year 2024, Team India has so far won a total of 21 T20I matches and has overtaken Pakistan in terms of winning the most matches in a calendar year of T20 International cricket. Pakistan had won a total of 20 matches in T20 International cricket in the year 2021. The Indian team still has to play four T20I matches against South Africa this year, even if the team wins all the matches, it will not be able to break Uganda’s world record.

Sanju Samson scored a stormy century in the match against Bangladesh. Samson scored 111 runs in just 47 balls with the help of 11 fours and eight sixes, which is the second fastest T20 century by an Indian after Rohit Sharma (35 balls). India won the toss and elected to bat first, scoring 297 runs for six wickets, which was its highest score in this format. In reply, Bangladesh team could score only 164 runs for seven wickets. For India, fast bowler Mayank Yadav took two wickets for 32 runs and leg spinner Ravi Bishnoi took three wickets for 30 runs. The record for the highest team score in T20 cricket is in the name of Nepal which had scored 314 runs.
