He has jumped 2 places and captured the second position in the ranking of ODI bowlers. Apart from Deepti, New Zealand captain Sophie Devine has also done wonders. He has also achieved his best ranking in ODI.

Amazing work of Indian all-rounder

Deepti’s three wickets in the first two matches helped her reach a career-best second position in the bowling rankings, while Devine achieved a career-best eighth position in the batting rankings after an innings of 79 runs in the second match. In the first match against New Zealand, Deepti played an important role in helping her team win by taking 41 runs and one wicket for 35 runs, which also benefited her in the ranking of all-rounders. She has reached fourth position with the gain of one place. Similarly, Devine, who took three wickets for 27 runs in the second match, has also moved from ninth to seventh place in the rankings of all-rounders. In the bowling rankings too, Devine has jumped 9 places to reach 30th position.

Amelia also benefited

New Zealand all-rounder Amelia Kerr, who was ruled out of the series opener due to injury, has also gained in the rankings. Kerr has moved up to 11th and 13th in the batting and bowling rankings respectively after her impressive all-round performance of 25 not out and four wickets for 42 runs in the first match. Let us tell you, in the ICC Women’s ODI Championship, India is at third position in the table with 23 points from 14 matches. Australia (28 in 18 matches) and England (28 in 21 matches) are at the first and second positions respectively.
