In the first Test match played in Chennai, Team India defeated Bangladesh by 280 runs and then won the second Test in Kanpur by 7 wickets and swept Bangladesh 2-0 in the series. In this Test series, R Ashwin, Jasprit Bumrah, Akash Deep and Ravindra Jadeja did wonders with the ball. R Ashwin and Bumrah took 11 wickets each while taking 9 wickets in their name. Both Ashwin and Bumrah took equal number of wickets against Bangladesh but only one bowler got the advantage in the latest ICC Test rankings.
Jaiwal and Kohli’s explosion in ICC rankings
New rankings have been released by the ICC the very next day after the end of the India vs Bangladesh Test series. Meanwhile, former Indian team captain Virat Kohli and opening batsman Yashasvi Jaiswal have made huge leaps. Team India captain Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant have suffered a slight loss. There have been a lot of upheavals in the rankings this time. Former Indian team captain Virat Kohli has jumped 6 places at once and has now directly reached number 6. His rating has now increased to 724.
Mayank Agarwal got captaincy
Mayank Agarwal was not made a part of Team India in the Test series against Bangladesh. He recently played for India A in the Duleep Trophy. Where under his captaincy India-A won the Duleep Trophy title. But he failed to play big innings with the bat. Karnataka has announced its squad for two matches of the upcoming season of Ranji Trophy. Karnataka has handed over the responsibility of captaincy to Mayank. Babar Azam left the captaincy

The auction for the SA20 2025 season was held in Cape Town. A total of 13 players were bought in this auction, out of which Reeza Hendrix was the most expensive. Reeza Hendricks was bought by MI Cape Town for 4.3 million Rand. The second biggest purchase was of England fast bowler Richard Gleeson, who was bought by Sunrisers Eastern Cape for 2.3 million rand. South African Test captain Temba Bavuma was not bought by any franchise. In addition to the purchases in this auction, the franchise also selected six rookie picks (South African players aged 22 years or younger) to complete their squad for the season. The third season of SA20 will be played from January 9 next year and the final will be held on February 8.
Rahane missed a century

Bartonietz, 75, has cited his age and family commitments for his separation from Chopra. Bartonietz, 75, now wants to be with his family and not travel too much, an Athletics Federation of India (AFI) official told PTI. He said that it is not that Neeraj wants to end this partnership, but Bartonietz has expressed his inability to continue working as his (Neeraj’s) coach.
Sarfaraz scored a double century
