Nicholas Pooran-Mohammad Rizwan: Pakistan’s Mohammad Rizwan is a great batsman in T20 cricket and has single-handedly led the Pakistani team to victory on many important occasions. Rizwan holds the record for scoring the most runs in a calendar year in T20 cricket. He scored 2036 runs in T20 cricket in the year 2021. No one has been able to score more runs than Rizwan in a year in T20 cricket. This record stands till date. West Indies’ Nicholas Pooran came close to breaking Rizwan’s great record this year, but he missed it by five runs.
Nicholas Pooran got out after scoring just 10 runs
Nicholas Pooran is currently playing for Trinbago Knight Riders in the Caribbean Premier League 2024. Where he performed well in the last matches. But he could not play a big innings against St Lucia Kings and was out after scoring just 10 runs. Pooran has scored 2032 runs in T20 cricket so far in the year 2024. If he had scored five more runs against the St Lucia Kings team, he would have broken Mohammad Rizwan’s record and would have made the record of scoring the most runs in a calendar year, now he has missed it. But in the coming matches, he can make this record in his name.

Johnson Charles scored a half century
In the Caribbean Premier League 2024, Nicholas Pooran’s team Trinbago Knight Riders had to face defeat by 80 runs against St Lucia Kings. Batting first, the St Lucia Kings team scored a total of 218 runs. Johnson Charles scored the highest 89 runs for the team. Apart from him, Faf du Plessis contributed 59 runs. It is because of these players that the team was able to score more than 200 runs.
Trinbago Knight Riders batsmen flopped
The batsmen of Trinbago Knight Riders flopped badly in the match. Jason Roy scored the highest 41 runs for the team. Apart from him, no other player was able to bat consistently. Chris Jordan contributed 27 runs and the team could score only 138 runs. Noor Ahmed took three wickets for St. Lucia Kings.
