Women T20 World Cup 2024: Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 is starting from October 3 on UAE soil. Earlier this tournament was to be played on the soil of Bangladesh, but considering the political situation there, ICC decided to hold this tournament in UAE. This time 10 teams are participating in the tournament and they have been divided into two groups of five each. The Indian team has got a place in Group-A. Apart from the Indian team, this group includes Pakistan, Australia, New Zealand and Sri Lankan teams. There have been a total of 8 editions of the T20 World Cup so far.
England won the title for the first time
The Women’s T20 World Cup was played for the first time in 2009. Then the England team defeated New Zealand and captured the title. Then after this, the Australian team has ruled the T20 World Cup. The Australian women’s team has won the T20 World Cup trophy a total of 6 times so far. In the year 2016, West Indies won the T20 World Cup trophy. So far only the teams of England, Australia and West Indies have been able to win the Women’s T20 World Cup title.

Indian team has not won the title yet
The Indian team has not been able to win the Women’s T20 World Cup title even once. The team had made it to the finals of the year 2020, but then it had to face defeat by 85 runs. The Australian women’s team, batting first, had scored 184 runs, in response to which the Indian team was all out for 99 runs. Then the Indian team had made it to the final for the first time.
