Shakib Al Hasan: In a major decision, Bangladesh Cricket Board has suspended star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan from bowling in all ICC-sanctioned tournaments conducted by national federations, both domestic and international. Earlier, England and Wales Cricket Board had also suspended Shakib from bowling. BCB has said that Shakib will appear for re-testing at a recognized testing center soon. So that his action can be approved and his suspension can be removed. He has taken retirement from Test and T20.

ECB also took action

He was reported for a suspicious bowling action during a cricket match in the County Championship in September, ESPNcricinfo reported. Earlier this month, he had failed his action test at Loughborough University, an ICC-recognised testing centre. After this, ECB took major action and banned him from bowling. At present, Shakib can play as a batsman in all formats of domestic and international cricket.

Have taken retirement from Test and T20

The last few months have been very bad for Shakib Al Hasan. When the government of his party Bangladesh Awami League fell due to student protests. After this he wants to end his Test career by playing in Dhaka, but he is accused in a murder case in Bangladesh. For this reason he did not return to Bangladesh. Right now he is playing only ODIs, but he has not been selected for the Afghanistan and West Indies series. He is currently playing in the Lanka T10 tournament.

All three formats for Bangladesh

Shakib Al Hasan has played cricket for Bangladesh in all three formats and he scored 4609 runs and took 246 wickets in 71 tests for Bangladesh. He has 7570 runs and 317 wickets in his name in 247 ODI matches. He has taken 2551 runs and 149 wickets in 129 T20 Internationals for Bangladesh.
