Shubhman Gill Century: Shubman Gill’s bat spoke loudly on the third day of the Chennai Test. Gill thrashed the Bangladesh bowlers during India’s second innings and shared a brilliant partnership of 167 runs with Rishabh Pant. Pant returned to the pavilion after scoring 109 runs. Soon after this, Shubman Gill hit a brilliant century. Gill completed his century in 161 balls with the help of 9 fours and 3 sixes. This is the 5th century of his Test career and the third Test century of the year 2024. Not only this, this is the 12th international century from his bat since the year 2022. In this way, he has become the batsman to score the most centuries since 2022. He surpassed Babar Azam, Virat Kohli and Joe Root.
