South Africa’s victory created a stir in the points table of the World Test Championship.

There have been a lot of changes in the points table of the third edition of the World Test Championship in the last one month, in which changes have been seen again after South Africa won both the matches of the 2-match Test series against Bangladesh. South Africa, which was not in a strong position in the points table before the start of this Test series, has firmly included itself in the race to reach the final by winning both the matches. South Africa’s victory in the second test match against Bangladesh has definitely caused a loss to the New Zealand team in which they have now reached number 5.

South Africa reaches fourth place directly

He ended the second Test series match between Bangladesh and South Africa played at Chattogram ground in just three days, winning the match by an innings and 273 runs. After this victory, the South African team has now directly reached the fourth position in the points table in which its percentage of points i.e. PCT became 54.17. On the other hand, the New Zealand team, which has already won 2 matches of the three-match Test series against India, has lost one place in which it is now at number 5 with 50 PCT points. Apart from this, Bangladesh team is at number 8 with a percentage of 27.50 points after facing a clean sweep.

India and Australia remain in top-2

In the WTC points table, the Indian team is still at the first position with 62.80 points percentage, while the Australian team is at the second position with 62.50 points percentage. In such a situation, to retain the first position, Team India will have to try its best to win the Test match to be held in Mumbai against the Kiwi team. The Australian team will play its next Test series in the third edition of the WTC against India at home from November 22.
