Bangladesh announced its squad for the second test against South Africa.
The Bangladesh team is currently playing a 2-match Test series against South Africa at home, the first match of which was played on the grounds of Dhaka and in which the host Bangladesh team had to face defeat by 7 wickets. Meanwhile, after the defeat in the first match, Bangladesh Cricket Board has announced the team for the second test match of this series to be played in the stadium of Chattogram, in which a major change has been made. The last few matches in Test cricket for the Bangladesh team have not been as per expectations at all, in which they faced a clean sweep on the tour of India and now they are trailing 1-0 in the series against Africa.
Taskin was given rest, Khalid was included
Bangladesh team has to play the last match of this 2-match Test series against South Africa from 29th October. Regarding this match, a major change has been made by BCB in the squad, in which it has been decided to rest fast bowler Taskin Ahmed and in his place Khalid Ahmed has become a part of the squad. Behind Taskin’s exclusion, a member of the Bangladesh Cricket Selection Committee said in a statement given to Cricbuzz that Taskin plays for us in all three formats and he is going to play continuously for the next 50 days. In this, along with the ODI series against Afghanistan, all three format series have to be played against West Indies. We want to keep him completely fresh and that is why we have decided to rest him for the second Test.
