Wanindu Hasaranga, who was ruled out of the last two ODIs against India due to a hamstring injury, has also returned to Sri Lanka’s 50-over squad, while all-rounder Chamika Karunaratne and spinner Akila Dananjaya have been left out. Mathisha Pathirana is also out of the squad due to a shoulder injury suffered ahead of the ODI against India, while Dushmantha Chameera and Nuwan Thushara are also not part of the 16-man squad for the ODI against West Indies.
Nishan Madushka, who was called for ODI for the first time in the series against India but did not get a chance to play any match, has also been included in the squad. The Sri Lankan team, which won the T20 series 2-1 against the West Indies, will play three ODIs against the Caribbean team. The first ODI will be played on October 20, while the second and third matches will be played on October 23 and 26 respectively. These three matches will be played in Pallekele.
