Team India's search is over, the puzzle of number 3 has been solved, now consider T20 World Cup for sure?

Harmanpreet Kaur

Before the T20 World Cup, the puzzle of number three in the Indian women’s cricket team has been solved. Team India was searching for someone for number-3 for a long time, which has now ended. Even before the match against New Zealand, it has become clear who will bat at number 3. Team head coach Amol Majumdar has exposed this secret. Amol Majumdar told that the responsibility of batting at number-3 will be on the shoulders of Harmanpreet Kaur. Majumdar said before the match against New Zealand that during the cap in India itself, it was decided who would be given a chance at number three. The team had decided in the Bengaluru camp itself who would bat at this number. After this, the final seal was put on it in the warm-up matches of the World Cup.

Problem number 3 solved

Since Amol Majumdar became the coach in October last year, Team India has tried many players at number-3. Till April this year, Yastika Bhatia was considered the biggest contender for this position but due to her injury all the plans of the team failed. Apart from this, D Hemalatha and Uma Chhetri were given a chance at number-3 but both could not impress with the bat.

The coach expressed confidence in the captain

While batting at number 3 in the warm-up matches, captain Harmanpreet may have scored 10 and 1 run, but the coach and team management have full faith in her. This is the reason why he has been selected for this position. The coach believes that Harmanpreet will handle this big responsibility well and will live up to the expectations. The biggest challenge before the Indian team in the T20 World Cup will be to overcome teams like England and Australia. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see how Harmanpreet performs against these teams while playing at number 3.
