It is very difficult for any batsman to score a triple century in a cricket match, but a match is being played on Indian soil in which not one but 2 batsmen have created a great record of scoring a triple century. This unique record has been seen in India’s prestigious domestic cricket tournament Ranji Trophy. Goa team made this unique record while playing against Arunachal Pradesh in the plate group match of the tournament.

On the second day of this match, Goa batsmen Kashyap Bakle and Snehal Kauthankar created a sensation in the cricket world by scoring brilliant triple centuries. In this match being played in Porvorim, on the first day, Goa team defeated Arunachal Pradesh for just 84 runs in the first innings. In response, Goa scored more than 700 runs on the scoreboard thanks to the triple centuries of Kashyap Bakle and Snehal Kauthankar.

Goa batsmen created new history

Goa declared its first innings on the score of 727/2 runs. During this, Kashyap Bakle returned unbeaten after scoring 300 runs and Snehal Kauthankar returned unbeaten after scoring 314 runs. In this way both the batsmen made the record of the biggest partnership in Ranji Trophy history. Earlier, the record of the biggest partnership in Ranji was in the name of Maharashtra’s Swapnil Gugale and Ankit Bawne. Both of them had made a partnership of 594 runs for the third wicket in the match against Delhi in 2016. Kashyap Bakle and Snehal Kauthankar made an unbeaten 606-run partnership for the third wicket in the Plate Group match against Arunachal Pradesh. In this way, it got registered in the record books as the biggest partnership in the history of Ranji Trophy.

2 triple centuries in the same match

Snehal Kauthankar scored a triple century in just 205 balls, which is the second fastest triple century by an Indian in the history of first class cricket. At the same time, Kashyap Bakle became the third fastest batsman to score a triple century from India in first class history. Snehal scored unbeaten 314 runs on 215 balls with the help of 45 fours and 4 sixes, while Kashyap Bakle scored unbeaten 300 runs on 269 balls with 39 fours and 2 sixes. Apart from these, Prabhudesai contributed 73 runs.
