Delhi Capitals retained Tristan Stubbs for Rs 10 crore
Delhi Capitals team had retained four players before the IPL 2025 mega auction. Among these, Akshar Patel was retained for Rs 16.5 crore, Kuldeep Yadav for Rs 13.25 crore, Tristan Stubbs was retained for Rs 10 crore while Abhishek Porel was retained as uncapped for Rs 4 crore. The special thing was that Delhi Capitals had not retained their captain and star batsman Rishabh Pant.
1574 players registered for mega auction
1574 players have registered for the IPL 2025 mega auction. Now there are reports that Tristan Stubbs’ name is also included among the registered players. Whereas Delhi Capitals team has retained him. This is why the problem is stuck. Has Stubbs left Delhi? But everyone is assuming that his name has accidentally appeared in the registered players and he will remain in the Delhi Capitals team. There is no statement yet from Tristan Stubbs in this regard.
Scored more than 400 runs in IPL
Tristan Stubbs has been playing in IPL since 2022. He was part of Mumbai Indians before Delhi Capitals. He did not get a chance to play many matches in the Mumbai team. Then he performed well for Delhi team in IPL 2024. Along with scoring runs, he is adept at doing wonders with bowling. He has so far scored 405 runs in 18 IPL matches, which includes three half-centuries. Apart from this, 4 wickets are also registered in his name.
Tristan Stubbs is known for his explosive batting. He made his debut for South Africa only in the year 2022 and so far he has scored 557 runs in 31 T20 International matches for the African team, which included two half-centuries. His strike rate in T20 International has been 137.87.
