There was a heated argument between Mohammed Siraj and Devon Conway during the Bengaluru test match.

The first match of the three-match Test series between India and New Zealand is being played at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. While the first day’s play of this match was canceled due to rain, the second day’s play was completely won by the New Zealand team. Team India captain Rohit Sharma won the toss and decided to bat first, but after that, only the Kiwi players dominated throughout the day. While New Zealand’s fast bowlers first restricted the Indian team to just 46 in the first innings, by the end of the day’s play they had scored 180 runs at the loss of 3 wickets in their first innings. During the second day’s play, a heated argument was also seen between Kiwi team’s batsman Devon Conway and Mohammad Siraj, on which Indian veteran player Sunil Gavaskar was seen taking a dig.

Don’t forget he is DSP now

When the New Zealand team came out to bat in its first innings on the second day of play, Conway hit a boundary against Mohammad Siraj in the 15th over. Siraj appeared very angry about this shot. After throwing the next ball, Mohammed Siraj said something to Devon Conway, on which Conway did not say anything and just looked at him with a smile. Meanwhile, Indian veteran former player Sunil Gavaskar, who was doing commentary, said in a humorous manner that don’t forget that he is now a DSP. I was wondering whether the players of the Indian team saluted him. Let us tell you that in the second day’s play, Conway had an excellent innings with the bat but he missed his century and was bowled by Ashwin after playing an inning of 91 runs.

Siraj has been appointed DSP by Telangana government recently.

Indian team’s fast bowler Mohammed Siraj was appointed DSP by the Telangana government just a few days before the start of the Test series against New Zealand. The state government had announced to make him DSP only after the Indian team won the T20 World Cup 2024, in which he has now been officially given the post. When Siraj was made DSP, a photo of him in uniform was also posted on social media.
