Out of 1574 players from all over the world, only 574 have been shortlisted.
This time a total of 1574 players from all over the world had submitted their claims for the IPL auction. However, everyone knows that neither bids can be placed on so many players nor any team will buy them, hence now the names of one thousand players have been removed from the shortlist that has come out. Now bidding will not be done on these players. Only 574 players are left whose names will be called during the auction and bids will be placed on them. The special thing is that all ten teams have only 204 slots left. This means that once the teams complete their squads, a maximum of the same number of players will be purchased. The rest will go unsold.
Only 70 slots left for foreign players
Of the 574 players shortlisted by BCCI, 366 are Indian and 208 are foreign players. Three players are also from Associate Nations. Which 204 slots are left with the teams. Out of those, only 70 slots belong to foreign players. That means the remaining 130 players will be bought from India. That means, overall, the demand for Indian players is going to be high. This means that some Indian faces can be bought, whom you may not know, but the foreign players will be seen almost only, who have played IPL for some team or the other before. That means there are old faces.
Teams can include maximum 25 players in the squad
Let us tell you about IPL that all teams can include at least 18 and maximum 25 players in their squad. That means, only if all the teams complete their squads, only 204 players will be sold. If a team selects fewer players, the number of players sold becomes even less. Overall, it is certain that this time there is a mega auction, so there will be complete excitement for two days. On the same day it will be known which player got hit by luck and who got beaten.
