Sri Lanka Cricket T10 Super League: The T10 Super League tournament will be held in Sri Lanka from 12 to 22 December. For the first time this tournament is going to be held in Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka Cricket had wanted to organize the T10 tournament here for a long time. The Sri Lankan team has to play a two-Test series against South Africa. The last test match of the series will play between 5 to 9 December. In such a situation, most of the players of the Sri Lankan team can be available in the T10 Super League tournament.
6 teams will participate
The player draft for the T10 Super League will take place on November 10, 2024 in Colombo. A total of 6 teams will participate in this tournament. Each team can have a maximum of 17 players and a minimum of 15 players in its squad. Local and international players will be desperate to perform well in this fastest format of cricket.
Last date for registration is 1st November
The last date for registration of players is 1 November. The last date for directly signing players has been kept as 5th November. Every franchise will have to sign 6 players directly. There will be a total of 6 categories, one player from each category has to be signed directly by the franchises. The draft will have 11 rounds, the first round will be decided by manual draw and the remaining rounds will be determined by a randomizer for the pick order. The draft will then involve the selection of an emerging player from the countries of Zimbabwe and the West Indies.
