Indian Fast Bowler Ankit Rajpoot: The Indian team is currently playing the Border-Gavaskar Trophy of five test matches against Australia. Meanwhile, Indian bowler Ankit Rajput has announced his retirement to explore possibilities in foreign T20 leagues. Whereas he is still only 31 years old. He plays for Uttar Pradesh in domestic cricket and was recently seen in Ranji Trophy.

Ankit Rajput wrote on social media that today with great humility I announce my retirement from Indian cricket. My cricket journey from 2009 to 2024 has been the best time of my life. I express my gratitude to the Indian Cricket Board, Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association and Kanpur Cricket Association for providing me the opportunity.

Five teams participated in IPL

Ankit Rajput also expressed gratitude to the five IPL teams Chennai Super Kings, Kolkata Knight Riders, Punjab Kings, Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants that he has been a part of. He took a total of 24 wickets in 29 matches of IPL. Former Indian fast bowler Siddharth Kaul also said goodbye to domestic cricket last month. Like him, Rajput is also exploring possibilities in T20 leagues around the world. Any active cricketer associated with the Indian Cricket Board cannot participate in foreign leagues.

Took more than 200 wickets in first class cricket

Ankit Rajput could not play a single international match for the Indian team. But his domestic record has been excellent. He has taken 248 wickets in 80 first class matches. Apart from this, he took 71 wickets in 50 List-A matches. He took a total of 105 wickets in T20 cricket.
