ICC T20 World Cup Sub Regional Africa Qualifier: Zimbabwe has defeated Rwanda by 149 runs in the ICC T20 World Cup Sub Regional Africa Qualifier match. In this match, captain Sikandar Raza has bowled strongly for Zimbabwe and made the team win the match on his own. Batting first, Zimbabwe scored a total of 240 runs, in response to which Rwanda was reduced to just 91 runs.

Took five wickets against Rwanda

Sikandar Raza is counted among the best all-rounders and has won many matches on his own. He is known for excellent bowling and strong batting. He has become the biggest match winner for the team against Rwanda. He has taken 5 wickets for 18 runs in his quota of four overs. He has become the first player for Zimbabwe to take 5 wicket haul in a T20I match. Before him, no player for Zimbabwe had taken 5 wicket haul in a T20I match.

Scored more than two thousand runs in T20I

Sikandar Raza made his T20I debut for Zimbabwe in 2013. Since then he became an important link of the team. He has so far scored 2076 runs in 17 T20 International matches, which includes 14 half-centuries. While bowling, he has taken a total of 73 wickets. He has also played 17 Test and 142 ODI matches for the Zimbabwean team and has a total of 8 centuries in his name in international cricket.

Meyers played a brilliant innings

Batting first for Zimbabwe, Dion Mayers played a brilliant inning of 96 runs. Apart from him Tadiwanashe Marumani contributed 44 runs. Clive Madande scored 35 runs. It was because of these players that Zimbabwe team was able to score a big score of 240 runs. Dion Mayers was given the Player of the Match award for his strong performance.
