The Bangladesh team had won that match played on the ground of Grenada by 4 wickets. Now after 15 years, they have been successful in defeating West Indies in a Test match at their own home. In this match, Bangladesh team, batting first, was limited to a score of only 164, after which their bowlers showed excellent performance and reduced West Indies’ first innings to a score of only 146. Whereas Bangladesh scored 268 runs in its second innings in which Zaker Ali’s excellent inning of 91 runs was seen. If we talk about the second innings of West Indies in this match, only Kevem Hodge could score a half-century.
Bangladesh won its third test away from home this year
Although the year 2024 was not much special for Bangladesh team in Test cricket, but this is definitely their third Test win away from home. Till now, Bangladesh team has the highest number of wins in Test cricket away from home in any calendar year. While this was Bangladesh’s last Test series in the third edition of the World Test Championship, West Indies still has to play one more series which is of 2 matches on the tour of Pakistan next year.
