India vs New Zealand 3rd Test: Contrary to everyone’s expectations, Team India has lost the series against New Zealand. When the series started, no one expected that the Indian team would lose the Test series at home. But due to poor performance of the batsmen, Team India had to face defeat. Gill can play at number three
Shubhman Gill may get a chance at number three. He did not play in the first test match due to injury, after this he could not show anything special in the second test. He played only innings of 30 and 23 runs. It is almost certain that superstar batsman Virat Kohli will be at number four. Kohli had scored a half-century in the first Test, but he also failed to score runs in the second Test and became the victim of Kiwi spinner Mitchell Santner in both the innings.
Pant is given the responsibility of wicketkeeping
The responsibility of wicketkeeping can be handed over to Rishabh Pant. Pant batted well in the first test and scored 99 runs. Sarfaraz Khan caught everyone’s attention by scoring 150 runs in the first test. BCCI has also included him in Team India for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Once Sarfaraz is at the crease, it is difficult to get him out.
Dinesh Karthik has demanded to rest Bumrah
After New Zealand, the Indian team has to go on a tour of Australia, where it has to play a five-Test series. Team India will need Jasprit Bumrah the most there. Bumrah has played the last four consecutive Test matches. In such a situation, the team management and captain Rohit Sharma would like to give him rest. Former Indian wicketkeeper batsman Dinesh Karthik has also raised the demand of giving rest to Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj may get a chance in his place.
In the second test match, Washington Sundar performed brilliantly in the middle series and took a total of 10 wickets in the match. Ravichandran Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja may also get a chance for the Mumbai Test. Even though these two players have not been able to show much success in the second test. But they can never be taken lightly and both of them had earlier won countless matches for Team India on their own.
