After Airtel, now Reliance Jio has also launched voice and video calling facility through Wi-Fi. It has been introduced at a nationwide level and will be available across India by 16 January. For the past few months, the company was testing this service. The company claims that voice and video calls can be made through Wi-Fi without any extra cost. This facility works on any Wi-Fi network anywhere in India.
According to the statement released by Jio, voice and video calls can be switched between VoLTE and Wi-Fi without interruption. This will provide a better voice / video calling experience to the user. To take advantage of the Jio Wi-Fi calling facility, the Jio tariff plan of the customer must be activated.
Supports more than 150 handset models
The Wi-Fi calling feature supports more than 150 handset models. Handset brands include Apple, Samsung, Coolpad, Google, Infinix, ITEL, Lava, Mobistar, Motorola, Techno, Vivo and Xiaomi. Information about which models of these brands support Jio’s new service can be found from

How to enable live Wi-Fi calling in Android smartphone
- Go to Settings and go to Connections.
- Now enable Wi-Fi calling.
- Go to phone settings and click on phone.
- Enable it by clicking on the Wi-Fi calling.
Turn on both VoLTE and Wi-Fi calling for a barrier-free calling experience. Wi-Fi calling facility can also be used in roaming.
